Teaching Morality Construction
In order to carry out the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), further strengthen the construction of teachers' morality and teaching style, and build a high-quality team of teachers, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High Department held a teaching and training session on teachers' professional ethics and teaching style in the Lecture Hall at noon on 29th May, 2020, which was presided over by Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong with the theme of ‘Adhering to the original faith of education, bearing the mission of educating people, and playing an exemplary role in teachers’ ethics’. In attendance were Directors Xu Haihong, Xu Zuitai and Liu Qiongdan from the Senior High Department as well as all the teachers from the Senior High Department.
To be concrete, at the beginning of the meeting, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong lead the school faculty members to analyze and study the ‘2020 implementation plan of the construction project of teachers’ morality and teaching style in Anqing City’. In the meantime, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong conveyed the conference spirit of higher authorities in regard to special educational activities on the construction of teachers’ morality and teaching style, set clear objectives and requirements of the construction of teachers’ professional ethics and teaching style in addition to emphasizing the significance of the construction of teachers’ ethics and teaching style.
Also at the meeting, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong clearly pointed out that we should put an end to the phenomenon of teachers’ moral misconduct, stressing that teachers were supposed to live morally, and proceeding detailed explanation concerning specific measures of rewards and punishments. In addition, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong requested all teachers to fulfill their duties scrupulously, be strict in self-discipline, impart knowledge and educate people. After the meeting, all the teachers of the Senior High Department signed the letter of commitment of teachers’ ethics and teaching style.
